Annual General Meeting

Parents and carers of children attending the Tadeusz Kosciuszko Polish Saturday School in Ealing automatically become Members of the Polish Parents' Association (PPA). Once a year, the PPA holds an Annual General Meeting (AGM) to which all parents and carers are invited.

At the AGM, the Head Teacher, Chairman and Treasurer present reports on the school's activity for the past school year. Those present at the meeting also elect the Trustees of the Polish Parents' Association. Discussions on various aspects of the school's activities and decisions regarding future plans also take place at the AGM.

Notice of the Annual General Meeting

Notice is hereby given that in accordance with the Constitution, the Annual General Meeting of the Polish Parents’ Association of Tadeusz Kosciuszko Polish School in Ealing will be held at 9.10am on Saturday 19 November 2011 in the Cloisters, St Benedict’s School, Eaton Rise, London W5.

The AGM is an opportunity to hear what has been happening at the School, to ask questions or to express your opinions. We would particularly like to invite all parents whose children have joined the School this year.

After the AGM, we hope to meet you over a cup of tea or coffee, and your offers of help and support for the work of the Parents’ Association will be greatly appreciated

Amendments to the Constitution

After 5 years of operation as a Registered Charity, in line with the recommendations of the Charity Commission, the Polish Parents’ Association of Tadeusz Kosciuszko Polish School in Ealing undertook a review of its Constitution in 2011. The Trustees recommend specific amendments to the Constitution to be accepted at the Annual General Meeting – as required by our Constitution.

The proposed amendments

1) add clauses from the Charity Commission’s “model constitution for unincorporated associations” which enhance our constitution, assist in the administration of the charity and safeguard the future of our organisation.
2) present more clearly and precisely the requirements for eligibility to stand for election as a Trustee and the process of Trustee appointment.
3) correct minor errors and inconsistencies in the original Constitution.
